Daily Learning Contract

  • Topic: Plan Revision
  • Objective: Students will use specific course evidence to revise an individual plan for starting a career after high school and any postsecondary education, then choose a realistic next action and support.
  • TEKS: d(8)(C)
  • Demonstration of Learning: Two-page private final reflection and transfer plan with then/now evidence, three transferable skills, a dated next action, support, and flexibility note.

50-Minute Flow

  1. Then/now Stop and Jot - 5 min. Explain how career planning thinking changed or stayed stable.
  2. Six-weeks evidence map - 12 min. Record one activity, decision, or artifact from each six weeks and what it helped the student understand.
  3. Transferable skills - 10 min. Name three skills, course evidence, and another context for each.
  4. Next action and support - 13 min. Write the action, date, support role, request, realism check, and flexibility response.
  5. Advice and open question - 7 min. Write advice to a future student and one unresolved question.
  6. Private submit - 3 min. Celebration or sharing is optional and consent-based.

Key and Access

Specific evidence matters more than forced positivity. Students do not need a class photo, public share, family detail, top-career declaration, H&L login, or perfect memory of every week. Provide the module list or six-weeks titles as a recall scaffold. Accept private typed, dictated, annotated, enlarged-print, or paper reflection.
