Daily Learning Contract

  • Topic: Presentation Planning
  • Objective: Students will plan and rehearse an oral professional presentation about career and college exploration using appropriate technology, source-labeled evidence, and a privacy-safe route.
  • TEKS: prepares d(4)(C)
  • Demonstration of Learning: Two-page oral/AAC career-evidence brief and rehearsal plan with two timed attempts and one visible revision.

50-Minute Flow

  1. Route and privacy check - 5 min. Confirm live, small-group, conference, private recording, or authorized AAC route and the appropriate technology choice.
  2. Model - 8 min. Show a concise brief with current direction, career task, preparation/labor evidence, high-school/training route, next action, and limitation.
  3. Build the evidence sequence - 17 min. Students use short notes rather than writing a script.
  4. Rehearse twice - 15 min. Time both attempts, collect feedback or use the self-check, and make one visible revision.
  5. Exit - 5 min. Confirm final route, technology, backup, and revision.

Key and Access

Appropriate technology may be a private Canvas recording, teacher-approved visual or evidence card, or AAC technology. Visual polish, expensive tools, public performance, and camera use are not scored. A written outline supports the brief but does not by itself demonstrate d(4)(C). Preserve the two rehearsals and revision; trim decorative production first.
