OPTION · Moon Landing Teamwork Challenge

Teams rank survival gear after a crash landing on the moon, then find out how close they got to NASA.

🎒 What you need: The deck, the ranking chart and the answer key — all three are in the box below.

1. Set the scene: your ship crash-landed on the lit side of the moon, roughly 200 miles from the rendezvous point.
2. Every student ranks the survival items alone first. No talking yet — this is the number you will compare against later.
3. Teams reach a consensus ranking. Rule: no voting and no averaging, you have to talk each other into it.
4. Reveal NASA’s expert ranking. Score the gap for each individual sheet and for the team sheet, then compare.

✅ Wrap up: Almost every time, the team score beats the individual scores. Name that out loud — it is the whole point, and it earns you the rest of the year.
