Take a position and say why
When you pick a side, name the evidence behind it. "I think" is a start; "I think, because" is an argument.
⚖️ A debate is not an argument
You are not trying to win by talking louder. You are trying to make the strongest version of your own case — and to answer the strongest version of theirs, not the weakest one.
