📽️ Stop Motion Storytelling Project

In this 6-day project you write, direct, animate and edit your own film. Using Stop Motion Studio, you’ll make a short animated film—between 30 to 60 seconds long—that tells a story with characters and props you build yourself. You start by planning the plot and finish with the film uploaded.

You turn in the plot diagram and the storyboard along the way, then upload the finished film as an .mp4 or .mov.

🗂️ Step-by-Step Breakdown

  1. Brainstorm & Plan: Choose your genre and think through your characters and conflict.
  2. Plot Diagram: Map your story structure using exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
  3. Storyboard: Sketch or describe 6–12 key scenes from your film.
  4. Set Design & Filming: Build your sets, animate your story using Stop Motion Studio, and capture each shot carefully.
  5. Final Edits & Reflection: Add sound or titles and reflect on what you learned.

You will have approximately 6–7 class periods to complete your final video.
