👩‍🚀 Project Overview

You will build an astronaut name-tag on a Merge Cube and make it show up in AR. You design it in Delightex (formerly CoSpaces); the Merge Cube is what you point your phone at to see it in 3D.

🎒 Materials and Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have the following materials and accounts set up:

💻 Computer/Tablet Requirements:

A laptop or tablet with internet access
Delightex EDU account - open Delightex and sign in with Microsoft using your @stu.irvingisd.net school email — ask your teacher for your class link

📱 Smartphone Requirements:

Merge Object Viewer app installed - search for "Merge Object Viewer" in your device's app store
Delightex EDU app installed - search for "Delightex EDU" in your device's app store

Follow the tutorial video to design your astronaut name-tag. Customize every side of the Merge Cube.

✅ Customization Checklist:

Make sure your name-tag includes:

✓ Edit Colors and Materials - Choose your color scheme
✓ Change/Add Text - Include your name and personalized message
✓ Change/Add 3D Models - Add astronaut-themed objects
✓ Add/Replace a Picture - Include a personal photo or image
✓ Customize All Sides - Design multiple faces of the cube

💡 Creative Tips:

• Use space-themed colors like blues, purples, and silver
• Add stars, planets, or spaceships to fit the astronaut theme
• Make each side of the cube tell a different part of your story
• Experiment with different fonts and text effects

📤 Share Your Creation

Submit your project, then look at it in AR.

How to Submit:

Save your finished Delightex project
Click the "Share" button in Delightex
Submit the share link to the VILS assignment
Add a brief description of your design choices

📱 View in AR:

View your project through the Delightex EDU app on your phone, pointed at your Merge Cube.

1. Open the Delightex EDU app on your phone
2. Log in to your account
3. Select your AR Name-Tag project
4. Point your camera at the Merge Cube
5. See your name-tag on the cube

💡 Consejos Creativos:

• Usa colores temáticos del espacio como azules, morados y plateado
• Agrega estrellas, planetas o naves espaciales que vayan con el tema de astronauta
• Haz que cada lado del cubo cuente una parte diferente de tu historia
• Experimenta con diferentes fuentes y efectos de texto

📤 Comparte Tu Creación

Envía tu proyecto y luego míralo en RA.

Cómo Enviar:

Guarda tu proyecto de Delightex terminado
Haz clic en el botón "Compartir" en Delightex
Envía el enlace para compartir a la tarea de VILS
Agrega una breve descripción de tus elecciones de diseño

📱 Ver en RA:

Mira tu proyecto con la aplicación Delightex EDU en tu teléfono, apuntando a tu Merge Cube.

1. Abre la aplicación Delightex EDU en tu teléfono
2. Inicia sesión en tu cuenta
3. Selecciona tu proyecto de Etiqueta de Nombre en RA
4. Apunta tu cámara al Merge Cube
5. Mira tu etiqueta de nombre sobre el cubo
