WEEK 5 | DAY 2 | PLANNING GATE

Map the Visitor's Choices

A branching project is easier to repair on paper than after every scene has been built.

Choose the decisions

Default: Visitor Decisions

Continue the same place and visitor. Build orientation, safety, access, or service choices that change the visitor's next step or outcome.

Optional creative route

An escape room or another teacher-approved scenario may use the same required structure.

Map before you build

Draw every scene as a box. Draw every choice as an arrow. Your teacher should be able to trace both endings without guessing.

Inside every box

Scene title
What happens
Media you need

Beside every arrow

Choice label
Where it leads
Why the outcome changes

Required route

  • At least four scenes
  • At least two decision points
  • At least two different endings
  • One planned 360 scene
  • No accidental dead ends

Sentence stem: If the viewer chooses ___, then ___ happens because ___.

Word bank: start · choice · branch · scene · ending · cause · effect

Submit for approval

  1. Upload a clear photo or screenshot of the complete story map.
  2. In a Canvas comment, answer: Which choice changes the experience the most, and why?
  3. Wait for teacher approval before building the final project.
