Preview the Unfamiliar Stop

Help the same first-time visitor look around one important stop and know what to do next.

Continue Welcome Mission

Use the same place and first-time visitor. Choose one stop that is important, unfamiliar, or easy to misunderstand.

Camera route

Use a teacher-approved 360 camera and location. Get permission before photographing people or spaces.

Library route

Use the ThingLink 360 library or an image your teacher provides. The visitor goal stays the same.

Build

  1. Open ThingLink through your class route and choose or upload one 360 JPEG.
  2. Name the visitor, the stop, and what the visitor needs there.
  3. Add six purposeful tag jobs: Arrive, Find, Know, Do, Help, and Access or Avoid. Give each tag a descriptive title.
  4. Add alt text to images. Add captions or a short transcript when a tag uses audio or video.
  5. Put the tags in a logical sequence and choose icons that stand out against the background.

Partner test and revision

  1. Send the audience link to a partner.
  2. Your partner checks: labels, contrast, tag order, media access, and whether the guide makes sense without you explaining it.
  3. Revise at least one weak tag or navigation choice.
  4. Submit the working ThingLink link. In a Canvas comment, write what you changed after testing.

Success criteria

  • The same named visitor and purpose from Welcome Mission
  • One working 360 scene
  • Six tag jobs: Arrive, Find, Know, Do, Help, and Access or Avoid
  • Alt text and captions or transcripts where needed
  • A logical tag sequence and readable icon contrast
  • One partner-tested revision
  • A working audience share link plus revision comment
