🎯 DAYS 3 + 4 YOU WILL:
✅ Build your emoji in Canva using only shapes
✅ Use at least one compound shape technique (Combo app)
✅ Export as PNG with transparent background
✅ Start your showcase slide

🧠 Design Principles Refresher
Keep these in mind as you build. Good emoji follow these rules:
👁️
Simplicity
Can you tell what it is at the size of a text bubble?
⚖️
Balance
Does it feel centered and stable, not lopsided?
🎨
Color
2-4 colors max. Too many = messy at small sizes.
Gestalt Principles (how your brain reads shapes):
Proximity — things close together look like a group
Similarity — matching shapes/colors read as related
Closure — your brain fills in missing parts of a shape
Figure/Ground — the main shape stands out from the background

💡 Squint test: Hold your design at arm's length and squint. If you can't tell what it is, simplify.
Export Your Emoji
1️⃣ Click Share (top right)
2️⃣ Click Download
3️⃣ Change file type to PNG
4️⃣ Check Transparent Background ✅
5️⃣ Download and save to your Chromebook
Build Your Showcase Slide
Must be done by the start of Showcase Day. Open the template and fill in:

💬 What does it mean? (1 sentence)
🎤 Why add it to Unicode? (1 sentence)
🎯 END OF PROTOTYPE PHASE

Principios Gestalt (cómo tu cerebro lee las figuras):
Proximidad — cosas cercanas se ven como un grupo
Similitud — figuras/colores iguales se ven como relacionados
